Advantages of LED lights
There are a number of advantages to using LED light bulbs as opposed to traditional ones. Firstly, and arguably most importantly, is energy efficiency.
Compared to traditional, incandescent bulbs, LED bulbs use up to 90% less energy. This creates a simple yet effective way to make your home and business more energy-efficient and, as such, help our environment.
As well as being much more eco-friendly, this also means that on a long term basis, LED bulbs will be hugely cost-effective.
Whilst the cost of LED bulbs is higher than traditional style bulbs, the long term savings in terms of energy costs makes it a worthwhile investment.
In comparison to incandescent bulbs, their LED counterparts have a dramatically longer life span and, dependent on use, can last between 25 and 30 years.
The LED bulbs are also considerably more durable than traditional bulbs as they have no internal glass tubes, meaning they are far more resistant to impact and, as such, less likely to break.
When using traditional light bulbs, it is normal to have to wait for a few moments after turning the light on before it reaches its full brightness. LED bulbs, on the other hand, provide instant light.
